Whether in a support group, in a workshop or in one of the cooperative arts experiences, CAHAMT's approach to service offers people a psychologically safe environment where they can explore difficult problems, risk expressing feelings and emotions, change self-defeating attitudes, and learn to use the Principles of Attitudinal Healing to open new choices and possibilities.
Involvement in the arts, particularly its creation and performance, provides direct opportunities for learning and applying the Principles of Attitudinal Healing.
The artistic process encourages the exploration and understanding of oneself, the releasing of fear and judgment, and the development of skills for artistic and personal expression. It also provides opportunities for connecting with people on a heart to heart level.
