The Center for ArtEsteem, formerly known as Attitudinal Healing Connection - Oakland, is thriving and bringing opportunities for creative expression to communities across the Bay Area.

Attitudinal Healing Connection - Oakland was founded in 1989 by Aeeshah and Kokomon Clottey as a community-based 501(c)3 nonprofit and a member of the global network of Attitudinal Healing Centers.

 The mission was to empower individuals to be self-aware and inspired through arts, creativity and education, making positive choices to break the cycle of violence for themselves and their communities.

Through ArtEsteem’s educational programs, professional development workshops, annual exhibitions, public art murals, and community-based arts engagement, we cultivate personal, collective, and environmental awareness, wellness, leadership, and action.
