Congratulations to the Neighborhood Leadership Institute Graduates!
Attitudinal Healing Connection is proud to announce the graduation of the 7th cohort of the Neighborhood Leadership Institute. Thank you for your hard work, determination and vision for the future in making this world and the Oakland community, a more peaceful and just place.
Monday, February 9, 2015 marked the completion of the program and included addresses by Oakland Mayor, Libby Schaaf, Alameda County District Attorney, Nancy O'Malley and Oakland Housing Authority Executive Director, Eric Johnson. The graduation ceremony showcased the participants' leadership and commitment after AHC led a 12 week long process of building inner transformational tools, skills, service learning and resources in order to create more positive communities, schools and safe neighborhoods for themselves and their families. This group of head-strong and passionate individuals critically looked at the negative influences and challenging circumstances many of them experience, and creatively came up with solutions.
The Oakland community is in gratitude of the leadership and visions of these change agents and looks forward to the beneficial impacts that will come from their actions.

About the Neighborhood Leadership Institute:
Since 2009, AHC, in partnership with the Oakland Housings Authority, created and currently implements an innovative program known as the Good Neighbor Program (GNP). It is a powerful curriculum, grounded in the principles and processes of Attitudinal Healing, and is designed to lift up the base in our culture. The Good Neighbor Program (GNP) offers two curriculums for personal and community change: The Neighborhood Orientation Workshop (NOW) and the Neighborhood Leadership Institute (NLI). Both programs are Attitudinal Healing Connection innovations.
