Gerald G. Jampolsky, M.D.       Founder, Attitudinal Healing

 

Gerald JampolskyGerald G. (Jerry) Jampolsky, M.D., psychiatrist, originally gained international recognition for his work with children who have catastrophic illness.  In 1975 he established the first Center for Attitudinal Healing in Marin County, California, where children and adults with life threatening illnesses may find peace of mind that is transforming for them and their families.  There are now numerous centers in dozens of countries all serving their communities dealing with crisis, choices, challenges, and change. He is the recipient of numerous international and life time achievement awards including most recently, the 2005 American Medical Association’s Excellence in Medicine – Pride in the Profession Award for the innovative and valuable contribution of Attitudinal Healing to the field of emotional and mental health.

In 1987 he helped co-found the AIDS Hotline for Kids based at the original Center in Tiburon, CA.  Jerry founded the international project "Children As Teachers of Peace" in 1982, which has now been expanded by others internationally. 

A graduate of the University of California – Berkeley and Stanford Medical School, he is a former faculty member of the University of California School of Medicine-San Francisco  and has held fellowships in child psychiatry at Langley Porter Neuropsychiatric Institute in that city.  He is internationally recognized in the fields of psychiatry, health, business and education and lectures and consults extensively in each of these areas. He currently serves on the faculty of the University of Hawaii John Burns School of Medicine – Department of Complementary and Alternative Medicine.

Jerry has published in 34 languages and is the author of Love is Letting Go Of Fear (a best seller with more than five million copies in print) Teach Only Love: The 12 Principles of Attitudinal Healing, Good Bye to Guilt and Out of Darkness Into the Light, One Person Can Make a Difference, and co-authored with his wife, Diane Cirincione, Ph.D., Love is the Answer, Change Your Mind, Change Your Life, Wake-Up Calls, and Me First and the Gimmee Gimmees.  Recent releases include Forgiveness: The Greatest Healer of All,  Finding Our Way Home, The ‘Oh Shit Factor: Waste Management for Our Minds, and A Mini Course for Life.

Diane V. Cirincione, Ph.D.          Executive Director, Attitudinal Healing International

 

diane_new_photo_110311_200pxDiane V. Cirincione, Ph.D. is a businesswoman, therapist, international lecturer, and author/co-author of seven books in multiple languages. She has worked in 54 countries and lectured in universities and organizations around the world. In addition to her corporate career, she has founded and owned six companies. She has served on several boards including currently on the Board of Directors of Mo-DV (Mobile Digital Video, www.Mo-DV.com).

She holds a B.S. in Organizational Behavior as well as a Masters and Ph.D in Clinical Psychology. She is currently on the faculty of the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine, Department of Complimentary and Alternative Medicine. Diane serves as President of the Jampolsky Outreach Foundation - a non-profit foundation responding to worldwide requests to introduce and mentor culturally appropriate adaptations of Attitudinal Healing, a new psychology which integrates practical, universal principles into a psycho-social approach focusing on the power of attitudes around choices and change. 

She is also Co-founder and Executive Director of Attitudinal Healing International, a global network of centers in over 30 countries offering individuals, families, organizations, and communities tools for transformation in challenging times.  From 1982-1992 Diane also helped to bridge youth from conflicting countries around the world including Russia, China, and Central America through the project "Children As Teachers of Peace.” She also co-directed a ten year global AIDS education effort in 27 countries. In 1987, she co-founded the national AIDS Hotline for Kids and helped create the WHO (World Health Organization) worldwide symbol for AIDS education, the award winning poster, I Have AIDS – Please Hug Me - I Can’t Make You Sick.

Diane has been a visionary and co-producer of three documentaries and is the recipient of over a dozen international, humanitarian awards including the National Caring Institute Award, the Jehan Sadat Peace Prize, the World Health Foundation Integrated Medicine Award, the Soviet-American Citizen Award, and the Ghandi-King Season for Non Violence Award.

Paige Peterson                            Chief Consultant for Growth & Development

 

Paige PetersonWe are pleased to announce that Paige Peterson has joined Attitudinal Healing International (AHI) as Chief Consultant for Growth and Development. A long time advocate for this global work with children, adolescents, and adults facing crisis, choices, challenges, and change, Paige brings her unique talents and abilities to AHnternationalI.

A noted New York artist who has also appeared on “Oprah” and Lifetime Television’s “Our Home,” and who has designed and styled segments for ABC’s “Good Morning America," her paintings are exhibited regularly in galleries across the country, and in 2003 she was selected for membership in the prestigious Guild Hall Academy of the Arts.

Paige is currently Executive Vice President at the Ben Barnes Group, and lends her efforts to financial development, sales, and marketing, focusing primarily on cancer research and patient needs. She remains a Vice President of Welcome Books, the company where her Blackie: The Horse Who Stood Still was published. Having been a friend of Attitudinal Healing since the opening of the first Center in 1975 in Tiburon, California, Paige is "thrilled to now be a part of the team supporting Attitudinal Healing worldwide."

 

Lynne Law                                    International Liaison

 

Picture_5Lynne has a background in commercial real estate and, more recently, was co-owner for seven years of a contemporary art gallery in St. Helena, CA.

Lynne first learned of The Center For Attitudinal Healing in the mid-1980s when she and her daughter, Kim, were learning to adjust to Kim’s diagnosis of Juvenile Diabetes onset, or Diabetes 1.

From 2004 until 2009, Lynne served as a board member with the Board of Directors at The Center. In 2004 she was trained in facilitating Attitudinal Healing support, and has since facilitated a Person to Person weekly group in Sausalito.

In 2009, along with two other co-facilitators, she started and still conducts Attitudes For Health and Healing in Napa, a weekly support group through the Wellness Center, associated with Queen of the Valley Hospital.

Lynne lives in San Rafael with her partner and three precious kitties.

 

Andrea Bernott                            Systems Administrator

 

AndreaHeadShotBorn and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Andrea was taught from a very early age that she could do anything she put her mind to in life. As a result, she grew up engaged in a wide variety of interests and activities, including reading, music, dance, creative writing, artwork, and computers.

A mixed media artist and classically trained mezzo-soprano, Andrea enrolled in the CSU Monterey Bay Theater Arts program; however, her deep love of literature and the influence of many a passionate English teacher led her to alter her course, and in 2006 she graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Literature and Film Studies, and a Minor in Psychology.

The month after graduation, Andrea founded her own business, Bernott Consulting, with the goal of utilizing her multifaceted skillset in a business environment. Her love of writing and her computer-oriented education made her a natural Content Manager for websites, and in 2007 she moved back to the San Francisco Bay Area to manage websites for a Japanese company.

One year later, after declining an invitation to relocate to Japan, Andrea decided to consult full time for small businesses in Marin County and was fortunate enough to begin work with AHInternational.org at the ground level. She currently uses her extensive experience with communication via technological means to ensure all aspects of www.AHInternational.org, from email to content to website development, run like clockwork.

 

Mariah Parker                               Graphic Designer

For over ten years her company, MettaGraphics, has contributed to the success of its clients through innovative design solutions in the areas of brand identity, collateral materials, and website development. Her talented team has enabled MettaGraphics to take on projects of all sizes and scope. Services offered include graphic design, product design, website design, and audio and video production.

Bringing a very personal approach to her work, Mariah works closely with her clients to help them clarify and achieve their goals. With a focus on clients, products and services that show a respect for the environment, and make a difference in the world, Mariah has been delighted to work closely with Jerry Jampolsky and Diane Cirincione for the last ten years as graphic designer for the Jampolsky Outreach Foundation.

Also an accomplished musician, Mariah has performed with her Indo Latin Jazz Ensemble in Yoshi’s, the Bay area’s premiere jazz venue, and her CD, Sangria, has received airplay on over 385 radio stations.
